ZenaComp Incorporated, a full-service technology firm for small to medium size businesses and municipalities, developed a custom, credit card application for Utley Brothers' e-commerce site resulting in a 47% increase of revenue at a recent international convention.  Mark Lichtman, ZenaComp President, made the announcement. 

Utley Brothers, a family-owned specialty printing company, was established in Detroit, Michigan in 1945.  Utley Brothers produces in excess of 150 million multi-colored business cards for more than six thousand customers.   In addition, product offering includes a complete line of corporate identity materials including business cards, letterheads, envelopes and other personal communication products.

One of Utley Brothers' many successful marketing strategies is attending an international training convention which is held once a quarter and rotates to different venues around the country.   Current and prospective independent representatives obtain the information and skills necessary to become a successful independent representative and have an opportunity to use trusted resources to purchase product and services to reach their goals.   

In the past, helping convention attendees place business card orders was a manual process.  Andy Harrison, Utley Brothers V.P., Sales and Marketing, partnered with ZenaComp to create a web-based application to combat the inefficiency of processing orders.  Harrison stated, "Our goal was to shorten the ordering time in order to help as many attendees as possible."

With the right technology and experienced developers, ZenaComp was quick and thorough in understanding their order processing needs for the convention.  ZenaComp streamlined the process from user registration to order submission making website modifications to accommodate credit card sliding technology, providing customer support and documenting configuration specifics.  Harrison was more than pleased with the result, "All we had to do was plug the USB credit card slider into our laptop and we were ready to go. Along with our daily workflow, this convention-only functionality helped us cut down the average time spent per order and realize a 47% increase in revenue from the previous year at the convention!"
